TRATA smoked herring contains tender fillets in vegetable oil, which have been cold smoked in a wood-fired oven in the Konva facilities. There is extra attention to the duration of smoking for a balance of flavor. Special wood chips are used to obtain a safe, smoked product, highlighting a ripe smell and taste. TRATA herring retains the distinctive, rich flavor of smoked fish with a subtle saltiness. The herring is caught in the clear waters of North Atlantic and is delivered to Konva in small tender fillets. The experience of sourcing the raw material and of processing with meticulous quality controls guarantee a prime product.
