Graviera (Kefalograviera) from sheep & goat milk 250g
Graviera (Kefalograviera) is a traditional Greek hard yellow cheese made from goat's and sheep's milk. It has a slightly sweetish or spicy taste and small holes. It is rich in nutrients, calcium and vitamins. It is considered a high quality cheese and is consumed as a table cheese. As this particular cheese has EU regulations around the naming and PDO status, ours comes labeled as 'Graviera' but is the same recipe as Kefalograviera. According to the PDO filing with the EU the 'Kefalograviera' name applies only to cheese produced in Western Macedonia, Epirus, and the regional units of Aetolia-Acarnania and Evrytania. This particular cheese comes from Stymfalia.
